The Pandemic’s Potential Silver Lining for Kids

Despite its challenges, perhaps students will emerge from the pandemic with new lessons learnt.

The pandemic brought everyone hardship, in different forms and at different levels. In education, students have “endured profound academic and social disruption.” Many are struggling with mental health issues. But through this experience, they may earn some good outcomes. One can be a change in perspective. The pandemic brought so many real and much more impactful changes, losses, and grievances to our lives, that we are able to be grateful for what we do have. Kids who have learned this lesson during the pandemic can now see that “every ordinary day is, in its own way, extraordinary.”
